Business Support Consultant | Employability Skills Training | Southport

We are currently seeking a strong Administrator to join our Employability Skills Training (EST) team in Southport on a casual basis working 20-30 hours per week with the view to go permanent part time. This government-funded initiative is designed to support participants in developing job-ready capabilities, enhancing confidence, improving digital literacy, and strengthening their competitiveness within the local labour market.

In this rewarding role, you will provide administrative support, participant engagement, and conduct initial assessments. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong administration skills, and is passionate about helping individuals achieve positive employment outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct initial assessments and determine suitability for EST programs
• Contact and engage referred participants to discuss program requirements and expectations
• Schedule assessments, training sessions, and participant appointments
• Maintain accurate participant records and data management systems
• Provide ongoing administrative support to trainers and program staff
• Liaise with employment service providers and internal stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with program guidelines and reporting requirements

You should be able to demonstrate the following skills:

• Highly developed interpersonal skills in maintaining client relationships with an outgoing personality
• Ability to work in an autonomous, dynamic and flexible work environment with an emphasis on high level of customer service.
• Proven and extensive phone-based customer service experience 
• Strong computer and digital skills
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of clients, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds and those for whom English is a second language
• Previous Employment services experience preferred not essential
