About us

Colli Timber and Hardware are a Perth based family-owned company that has been servicing the Perth building industry for over 57 years. We are seeking someone with a carpentry background or proven supervising experience to join the team at Colli Truss and Frame in Byford, WA. This full-time role will provide key support to our growing business.

Key responsibilities

• Pre-start inspection:

  • Check that the slab/floor is ready and within required levels and dimensions

• Wall frame installation:

  • Check frames are erected, plumb, straight and anchored correctly

• Roof truss installation:

  • Check Trusses are installed as per detail, permanent bracing, tie-downs, restraints and connections are installed correctly

• Quality control:

  • Inspect workmanship and materials throughout installation

  • Identify defects, incorrect installation or damaged components and arrange rectification

  • Maintain inspection records and photographs where required

• Coordinate carpenters and deliveries of materials

• Final inspection:

  • Check wall frames and roof trusses are installed to relevant codes and standards

About you

• Carpentry background or proven supervising experience

• Strong understanding of Australian Standards and WA building practices

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple builds simultaneously

• High attention to detail

• Current White card

• Valid drivers licence
