Commercial Solar & Battery Sales Consultant

Smart User is seeking an experienced Ducted Air Conditioning Installer to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified installer who takes pride in delivering neat, reliable and compliant installations. You will work on residential and/or commercial ducted air conditioning projects and be responsible for completing installations safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing ducted reverse-cycle air conditioning systems

• Reading and interpreting installation plans, engineering drawings and specifications

• Installing ductwork, zoning systems and associated components

• Completing refrigerant pipework, condensate drainage and permitted electrical connections

• Performing air balancing and optimising system airflow

• Commissioning systems and confirming correct operation

• Identifying and resolving installation issues

• Completing commissioning reports, installation records and quality assurance checklists

• Maintaining a clean and safe work area

• Working independently and collaboratively to meet project schedules

• Ensuring all work complies with WHS requirements, Australian Standards, the National Construction Code and manufacturer specifications

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• At least two years of experience installing residential and/or commercial ducted air conditioning systems

• An appropriate trade qualification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration

• Strong knowledge of ducted reverse-cycle systems and their components

• Experience with ductwork, zoning systems, air balancing and airflow optimisation

• The ability to read and interpret installation plans and technical drawings

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to neat, compliant and defect-free workmanship

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A current White Card

• A current Australian driver licence

• A valid ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence where refrigerant work is performed

• A relevant electrical licence if undertaking electrical disconnection or reconnection work

• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Highly regarded

The following experience would be an advantage but is not essential:

• Experience with leading brands including Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Fujitsu and Panasonic

• Experience commissioning Wi-Fi controls, zoning controllers and smart-home integrations

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Excellent time management and the ability to meet project deadlines
