Drainer (FIFO & Metro)

Whitebridge Contracts is seeking experienced Drainers to join our team across ongoing civil construction projects in Perth Metro and the Pilbara.

We currently have opportunities available across:

• Perth Metro – Subdivision Works: Approximately 45 hours per week

• FIFO – Pilbara Projects: 2/1 or 3/1 rosters

• Engagement: TFN employees or Pty Ltd contractors accepted. Sole trader/individual ABN arrangements are not accepted.

The Role

Depending on the project, your responsibilities will include:

• Installation of stormwater and civil drainage systems

• Pipe laying, bedding and backfilling

• Installation and construction of pits, manholes and drainage structures

• Setting and checking pipe levels and grades

• Reading and working from civil and drainage drawings

• Working safely around existing underground services

• Coordinating with excavator operators and ground crews

• Preparing works for inspection and testing

• Maintaining a high standard of safety, quality and workmanship

About You

We are looking for experienced drainers who can work confidently within a civil crew and take responsibility for progressing their work without requiring constant direction.

To be considered, you will need:

• Proven experience as a Drainer within civil construction

• Strong experience with pipework, pits and underground drainage

• Ability to read and understand civil and drainage drawings

• Confidence working accurately to levels and grades

• Experience working around existing underground services

• Good understanding of excavation, bedding, pipe installation and backfilling requirements

• White Card

• Current driver’s licence

• Strong safety awareness and good communication skills

Additional Experience

Additional civil tickets and plant competencies will be well regarded but are not essential.
