disability Support Worker

We are looking for an energetic, friendly and reliable Disability Support Worker to join the support team of a 21-year-old male participant.

He is bubbly, social, enjoys good company and loves gaming. We are looking for someone who can build a genuine rapport with him, someone who enjoys having a laugh, gaming, and getting involved in everyday activities.

The ideal support worker will be:

• Preferably a young adult support worker who can relate well to a 21-year-old

• Interested in gaming and happy to participate in games with him

• Bubbly, friendly and able to hold a good conversation

• Proactive and self-motivated — someone who doesn't need to be constantly told what needs doing

• Willing to actively participate in daily household activities, including cooking, cleaning and general household tasks

• Able to encourage participation, independence and community engagement

• Experienced and confident with hoisting and physical support

• A safe and confident driver

• Comfortable driving a wheelchair-accessible minivan

• Reliable, patient and able to bring positive energy to each shift

• Able to maintain professional boundaries while developing a positive working relationship with the participant

🕐 Shifts
Supports operate 7 days per week, with 8-hour daytime shifts available. Some shifts may involve driving and community access.

This role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys working with young adults and understands that great support is about more than completing tasks, it's about supporting the person to have an active, enjoyable and meaningful day.

Essential requirements:

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• First Aid & CPR

• Current driver's licence

• Relevant disability support experience

• Experience with hoisting/manual handling

• Appropriate work rights in Australia
