Casual Customer Service Officer
Apiam Animal Health Bendigo
Are you a customer-focused professional with strong administration skills and experience managing contracts, orders, and customer accounts? We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Customer Service Officer to join our team in Bendigo on a casual basis.
Apiam Animal Health is a large national network of veterinary clinics, production animal services, and allied businesses, supported by more than 1,200 dedicated professionals across Australia. Our teams work in the heart of regional and rural communities, supporting the dairy, beef, sheep, and pig industries that help drive Australia's agricultural sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong customer relationships, managing multiple priorities, and working as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for customers, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the wider business. You will manage customer enquiries, process orders and contracts, maintain customer databases, and ensure a seamless customer experience from enquiry through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Provide outstanding customer service via phone, email, and in person
Act as a key liaison between customers and internal departments
Manage and process customer orders, quotes, contracts, and related documentation
Monitor and follow up customer orders to ensure accurate and timely delivery
Respond to customer enquiries and provide product and service information
Maintain accurate records and customer accounts within company databases and systems
Process invoices, payments, monthly statements, credits, and refunds
Manage shared inboxes and distribute enquiries appropriately
Assist with stock transfers and inventory-related administration
Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations
Support the team with general administrative duties as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a customer service, administration, or customer support role
Experience working with contracts, agreements, purchase orders, or related documentation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Exceptional organisational and time management skills
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach with a professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
Desirable
Experience within a regulated, supply chain, logistics, healthcare, agricultural, or veterinary environment
Experience using ERP, CRM, or inventory management systems
Industry knowledge or exposure to product distribution environments
Netsuite experience advantageous
