Bar Shift Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Bar Shift Supervisor to join the team at Balldale Hotel in Corowa, NSW. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst providing the opportunity to lead and manage our bar operations during your shifts. As Bar Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth service delivery, maintaining high standards of customer care, and supervising bar staff to create an exceptional experience for our guests. This role is pivotal in maintaining the quality and reputation of our bar service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage cash handling, till operations, and reconciliation at the end of each shift

• Monitor stock levels, place orders, and maintain inventory of beverages and bar supplies

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, equipment, and work surfaces

• Provide excellent customer service and resolve any customer concerns or complaints professionally

• Manage the bar during peak trading periods, prioritising efficiency without compromising quality

What we're looking for

• Strong knowledge of beverage service, mixology, and bar operations

• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification

• Proficiency in cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) systems

• High level of customer service excellence and ability to handle challenging situations calmly

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

• Food handling certification or willingness to obtain one

• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
