About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Vacuum Truck Operator / Trades Assistant to join our Busselton team and support our horizontal directional drilling (HDD) operations across WA.

This is a hands-on role involving vacuum truck operation, general labouring, and assisting with the setup and maintenance of plant and equipment.

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a physical work environment, is safety-focused, and enjoys being part of a team.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Operate vacuum and drill fluid mixing systems to support HDD operations.

• Assist drill crew with site setup and setting up drill and tooling.

• Loading and unloading tools, materials and consumables.

• Perform general labouring duties.

• Follow all site-safety requirements and instructions.

• Complete basic documentation such as Take 5’s and plant pre-starts.

 Required Skills:

• Construction Industry Induction (White Card)

• Driver’s License – HR minimum

• Experience operating vacuum trucks is desirable.

• Other construction industry tickets are favorable (plant operating, high risk tickets).

• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and undertake manual labour.

• Aware of WHS requirements and safe work practices.

• Ability to work in a team environment, reliable and punctual.

• Ability to work away when required (project-specific).
