About the Role:
Are you an organised, customer-focused administrator who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment?
The Division of Surgery is responsible for delivering inpatient and outpatient surgical services to the ACT and surrounding region. The Division encompasses a broad range of specialised services, including Surgical Bookings and the Pre-Admission Clinic, Peri-operative Services, the Day Surgery Unit and Extended Day Surgery Unit, specialist surgical ward areas, medical and nursing outpatient services, the ACT Trauma Service, Intensive Care Unit, the Capital Region Retrieval Service, the Pain Management Unit, and the Trauma and Orthopaedic Research Unit.
Supporting these essential clinical services is a dedicated team of Administration Support Officers who play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Division. These positions undertake a diverse range of responsibilities, including reception duties within patient service areas, general business support, and personal assistant functions across the Division's clinical units.
The Division of Surgery comprises a diverse range of clinical specialties, including Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine, the ACT Trauma Service, the Acute Surgical Unit, Cardiothoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Intensive Care, Neurosurgery, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Retrieval Services, Urology, and Vascular Surgery. This breadth of services provides Administration Support Officers with the opportunity to work across a dynamic and collaborative environment that supports patients throughout every stage of their surgical journey.
As an Administration Support Officer, you will be an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, providing essential coordination and administrative support to the Division's clinical units and services. Your contribution will help ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and the efficient operation of one of the region's leading surgical services.
