About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Class B Asbestos Removalist Supervisor to undertake non-friable (bonded) asbestos removal works across our building maintenance and project portfolio.

This is a hands-on, site-based role where you will be actively carrying out asbestos removal works, including site establishment, removal, containment, clean-up and documentation.

The Supervisor component of the role reflects the required competency and responsibility for Class B asbestos removal activities. 

Duties

• Carry out Class B non-friable asbestos removal works across residential, commercial and government properties.

• Set up asbestos removal work areas, exclusion zones, signage, barricades and required containment measures.

• Safely remove, wrap, contain and prepare asbestos-containing materials for transport and disposal.

• Undertake decontamination and detailed cleaning of asbestos removal work areas.

• Use, inspect and maintain required PPE and respiratory protective equipment.

• Complete asbestos removal works in accordance with removal control plans, SWMS and site-specific requirements.

• Complete required site documentation and asbestos removal records.

• Work alongside other trades and coordinate activities to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.

• Maintain clean, organised and professional work sites.

• Identify unexpected asbestos-containing materials or changing site conditions and escalate where required.

Performance & Compliance

Complete all asbestos removal activities in accordance with WHS legislation, SafeWork NSW requirements, approved asbestos removal control plans and company procedures.

Maintain strict compliance with PPE, respiratory protection, decontamination, containment, and waste handling requirements.

Ensure asbestos-containing materials are correctly packaged, labelled, transported, and disposed of in accordance with applicable requirements.

Maintain accurate site, compliance, and waste disposal documentation.

Deliver works safely, efficiently and to the standard expected by our clients.

About You

You are an experienced hands-on asbestos removalist who takes pride in doing the job properly.

You understand the importance of asbestos controls, containment, decontamination, and attention to detail, but you are equally comfortable working as part of a broader maintenance and construction team.

You are reliable, practical, and willing to get on the tools. You take ownership of your work, communicate well with clients and other trades, and understand the standards expected when working in occupied and operational properties.

You will ideally have:

• Current Class B asbestos removal qualifications and competency.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience undertaking non-friable asbestos removal works.

• Strong understanding of asbestos removal procedures and WHS requirements.

• Construction White Card.

• Current driver’s licence.

• Ability to complete required site and compliance documentation.

• Strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a hands-on delivery team.

• Professional, reliable, and safety-focused approach.
