Wanless Waste Management is looking for a Business Development Cadet to join our Dandenong South team and learn the ropes in one of Australia’s most essential and sustainability-focused industries.

You won’t be stuck behind a desk all day, you’ll be making calls, meeting businesses, getting out in the field and learning how to turn conversations into opportunities.

🔥 What You’ll Be Doing

• Learning the world of business development from people who know the game
• Researching and identifying new opportunities across retail, commercial and industrial sectors
• Participating in door-to-door sales in a designated territory to canvas and connect with local businesses, generate leads and promote our offerings
• Making outbound calls, introducing Wanless services and starting conversations with potential customers
• Supporting CRM updates, pipeline tracking and client record management
• Sitting in on client meetings and industry events to learn how strong relationships are built
• Helping prepare quotes and proposals and learning what it takes to close the deal
• Keeping an eye on competitors, market trends and new opportunities
• Working with internal teams to understand how smart, tailored waste and recycling solutions are created
• Learning how to communicate value clearly, confidently and professionally

You don’t need waste or recycling experience we can teach that. What we’re really looking for is attitude, energy and someone who’s willing to have a go.

You’re someone who is:

• Comfortable talking to people in person and over the phone
• Keen to learn, grow and build a long-term career
• Organised, reliable and well presented
• Resilient — a “no” doesn’t stop you from trying again
• Interested in sustainability, recycling and environmental services
• Holding a current driver’s licence with reliable transport
