Taits is one of Mackay's largest and most respected Chartered Accountancy practices and was established in 1924. We are a six director firm with over 35 staff. We provide our client base with a complete range of professional business services.

Please note: This is an in-office role based in Mackay, QLD. Only experienced candidates with accounting firm or corporate experience will be considered.

Intermediate Accountant - Minimum two years experience in a public practice firm with exposure to all types of entities including Individuals, Companies, Trusts and Self Managed Super Funds

Senior Accountant - Minimum five years experience in a public practice firm with exposure to all types of entities including Individuals, Companies, Trusts and Self Managed Super Funds

About you

• CPA / CA qualifications*

• Bachelor degree or higher in Accounting, Business or similar

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Experience using Microsoft Office suite

• Experience with Intuit, MYOB, Reckon and Xero for Client Accounting

 About the role

• Ongoing Management of a Portfolio of Clients under the guidance of a Director

• Preparation of compliance for Individuals, Companies, Partnerships, Trusts and Self Managed Super Funds

• Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies when required 

• full-time or part-time basis (flexible working options including school hours available)
