Experienced Cabinet Maker or Workshop Foreman

About the role

Burgess Kitchens is seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker or Foreman to join our team in Caboolture, Queensland. Working closely with our Workshop and Production Managers, you'll help lead the assembly team day to day keeping jobs moving efficiently and making sure every product leaving our factory meets our quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the assembly team through the daily production schedule

• Check set-outs and job documentation before work commences, and inspect finished work before dispatch

• Work alongside the Workshop and Production Managers to allocate labour, sequence jobs and hit delivery dates

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop

• Train and mentor apprentices and less experienced staff

• Identify and resolve production issues before they reach the customer

About you

• Trade qualification in Cabinet Making, or equivalent demonstrated experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience in kitchen and cabinetry manufacturing

• Previous leadership or leading hand experience in a factory environment would be well regarded

• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and set-outs accurately

• Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to quality

• Confident communicator who can direct a team and work in with management

• Proficient with workshop machinery and power tools
