About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Installation Supervisor to oversee the quality, compliance, and execution of flooring installations across residential and commercial projects.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced flooring professional, site supervisor, carpenter, or trade-qualified leader who understands the importance of delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service. Acting as the critical link between the showroom, operations team, installers, and clients, you will ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

You will be responsible for supporting and supervising in-house installation teams, conducting site inspections, resolving on-site challenges, and maintaining strict quality control throughout the installation process. This is a field-based leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make confident decisions under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

Installation Supervision & Quality Control

• Supervising installation teams across multiple flooring projects
• Conducting site inspections throughout the installation process to ensure workmanship meets company and manufacturer standards
• Identifying and rectifying installation issues before they become costly defects or client complaints
• Ensuring all installations are completed to a premium standard and aligned with client expectations

Technical Compliance

• Monitoring installations to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices
• Verifying correct installation methods, including expansion gaps, substrate preparation, adhesive application, underlays, and finishing details
• Providing technical guidance and support to installers when challenges arise on-site
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of flooring products, installation techniques, and compliance requirements

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Briefing installation teams on project requirements, layouts, client expectations, and site-specific considerations
• Supporting installers with problem-solving and technical troubleshooting throughout project delivery
• Promoting a culture of accountability, professionalism, safety, and quality workmanship
• Working closely with operations, scheduling, and showroom teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently

Client Liaison & Issue Resolution

• Acting as a professional point of contact for clients during installations
• Managing client concerns, questions, and site issues in a calm and solutions-focused manner
• Conducting final quality inspections and ensuring client satisfaction before project completion
• Assisting with warranty inspections, defect resolutions, and quality assurance processes where required

Core Requirements

• Previous experience in flooring installation, site supervision, carpentry, construction, or a related trade background
• Strong technical knowledge across timber, laminate, hybrid, vinyl, and carpet flooring systems
• Demonstrated experience supervising tradespeople or installation teams
• Ability to interpret manufacturer installation guidelines and technical specifications
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make practical decisions under pressure
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to maintain high workmanship standards while building positive relationships with installers and clients
• Strong organisational and time management skills
