About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Flooring Sales Consultant to join our team at our Bundall showroom on the Gold Coast. This is a full-time position based in Bundall QLD 4217. As a Flooring Sales Consultant, you will be the face of Totally Flooring Gold Coast, providing expert advice and guidance to customers seeking flooring solutions. This role is pivotal in driving sales, building customer relationships, and establishing long-term loyalty. You will combine product expertise with consultative selling techniques to help customers make informed decisions about their flooring needs.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assess their flooring requirements through effective questioning and active listening

• Provide detailed product knowledge and recommendations based on customer preferences, budget, and lifestyle needs

• Conduct showroom consultations, utilising visual displays and samples to help customers visualise flooring options in their spaces

• Prepare accurate quotes and pricing information, ensuring transparency and clarity with customers

• Process sales transactions, including order placement, payment processing, and documentation

• Follow up with customers post-purchase to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business and referrals

• Maintain detailed customer records and sales data to support customer relationship management

• Work collaboratively with the installation and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment

• Stay updated on new product lines, industry trends, and promotional offerings to provide current information to customers

• Achieve individual and team sales targets through consistent effort and effective sales techniques

• Maintain the showroom environment, ensuring displays are clean, organised, and visually appealing

What we're looking for

• Proven sales experience in retail, preferably within the flooring, home improvement, or furniture industries

• Strong product knowledge or ability to quickly learn about flooring types, materials, and installation methods

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customer groups

• Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions that drive sales

• Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and computer software for processing transactions and managing customer information

• Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple customer enquiries and prioritise effectively

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment

• Strong attention to detail when preparing quotes and processing orders

• Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends

• A passion for customer service and commitment to exceeding customer expectations

• Valid driver's licence (preferred, for potential site visits with customers)
