Medical receptionist

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to join our team with The Artery and Vein Clinic, a specialist vascular surgery, phlebology and vascular ultrasound medical practice. Your primary employment location will be in Gregory Hills, NSW, with options for occasional trips down to the Wollongong office. This casual role is for 3 days per week (Monday-Wednesday). In this position, you will be providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our busy medical practice.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting and welcoming patients in a professional and friendly manner

• Handling patient inquiries and booking appointments

• Managing patient records and updating electronic medical systems

• Assisting with general administrative tasks such as data entry, uploading and actioning referrals, booking patients in for consultation or ultrasound and billing patients

• Providing support to the medical team as required

• General housekeeping of the rooms to keep neat (professional cleaner also employed)

What we're looking for

• Prior medical receptionist experience (2 years)

• An eagerness to work dilligently and honestly, with enthusaism for ensuring a job well done

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a diverse range of patients

• Excellent organisation and time management skills with attention to detail

• Experience in using medical software and electronic record systems

• A friendly, empathetic and professional demeanour with a caring approach to every patient
