Join the world’s largest literary travel community.
Do you love books, bookstores, libraries, travel and storytelling?
1000 Libraries is looking for a proactive, highly organised and social media-savvy Community & Content Manager to join our growing team in Melbourne.
This is not a traditional community management or customer service role.
We’re looking for an admin superstar and natural all-rounder who has experience supporting startup founders, can spot opportunities, execute quickly and comfortably jump between content, community, partnerships, ecommerce and projects.
You might spend one morning coordinating a campaign with creators around the world, then help manage a brand/tourism partner, organise a giveaway, spot a great Reel idea, solve an ecommerce issue and make sure five different projects actually get delivered.
You need to be someone who gets things done.
You must have worked in a startup or similarly fast-moving environment before and understand what it means to wear multiple hats, take ownership and get your hands dirty, and execute efficiently.
A willingness to create content yourself is a big plus.
1000 Libraries is followed by more than 1.8 million book lovers worldwide and reaches over 30 million people every month through stories about books, libraries, bookstores, culture and literary travel.
You’ll become one of the key people behind that community, helping us build relationships with readers, bookstores, libraries, creators, tourism organisations and brand partners around the world.
If your dream career sits somewhere between books, media, travel, social media and startups, this might be for you.
The position will begin part-time at approximately 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time $80,000 + super role within the next few months for the right person.
