Data Analyt (Entry / Junior)

Role Description This part-time Data Analyst (Entry / Junior) role at Moon Stone is a hybrid position based in Melbourne, VIC, with some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources to support business reporting and decision-making. The Data Analyst will assist in building basic dashboards and reports, performing exploratory data analysis, and generating insights under the guidance of more senior team members. Day-to-day tasks include supporting ad hoc data requests, documenting analytical processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to clarify data needs and present findings in a clear and accessible way.
Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills and foundational Data Analytics abilities suitable for entry-level work.Basic understanding of Statistics and its application in interpreting data and validating findings.Exposure to Data Modeling concepts, including organizing data structures for reporting and analysis.Clear and professional Communication skills to explain results and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Relevant tertiary studies or training in Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field (completed or in progress).Familiarity with common analytics tools or languages (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, or visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau) is highly beneficial.Demonstrated attention to detail, curiosity about data, and willingness to learn in a structured, supportive environment.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, managing time and tasks across on-site and remote work.
