Sales Consultant

About the role

This is a hands-on retail sales role working with customers who are renovating, building or updating their homes. You'll help customers select the right flooring and window furnishing products, prepare quotes, follow up opportunities and see jobs through from the initial enquiry to sale.

You don't necessarily need previous flooring or blinds experience. Sales or customer service experience is highly regarded, but we're equally interested in someone with the right attitude, strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. Full product training will be provided.

Key responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and helping them select suitable flooring and window furnishing products

• Providing advice on product options, colours, styles, pricing and installation

• Preparing accurate quotes and following up customer enquiries and outstanding quotations

• Building relationships with customers and helping turn enquiries into sales

• Processing orders accurately and coordinating with administration and installation teams

• Maintaining product knowledge across flooring and blinds ranges

• Working towards individual and store sales targets

• Keeping customers informed throughout the sales and ordering process

• Contributing to a positive, organised and professional showroom environment

About you

• Previous sales, retail or customer service experience

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Confidence following up customers and asking for the sale

• Good attention to detail, particularly when preparing quotes and orders

• The ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities

• Reasonable computer skills and the ability to learn new systems

• A willingness to learn about flooring, blinds and installation requirements

• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• A professional and positive approach to customer service
