Western Concrete Contractors The Renderer (Solid Plasterer) is responsible for carrying out cement and acrylic rendering works on internal and external masonry surfaces as part of the company’s surface finishing operations. The role supports construction projects by delivering high-quality rendered finishes to brick, block, and concrete structures across residential and commercial sites.

                                                                              Benefits Task & responsibilities JOB DUTIES Prepare masonry and concrete surfaces including brick, block, and concrete walls by cleaning, levelling, and applying bonding agents where required    Mix cement, sand, lime, and additives to achieve correct consistency for rendering applications    Apply one or more coats of cement render to internal and external wall surfaces using trowels, floats, and rendering tools    Apply acrylic rendering systems and textured finishes to building façades and external wall surfaces    Finish rendered surfaces by smoothing, floating, screeding, and achieving specified textures and appearance standards    Repair and patch existing rendered surfaces to match surrounding finishes    Install reinforcement materials such as mesh, beads, and control joints where required    Ensure correct thickness, alignment, and quality of all applied rendering materials    Read and interpret basic construction drawings and specifications for rendering works   Operate and maintain rendering tools and equipment in a safe and effective manner    Maintain clean and safe work areas and ensure proper storage of materials and tools   JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Carry out rendering and plastering works in accordance with Australian Standards and project requirements    Work as part of a construction team delivering concreting and surface finishing services    Follow instructions from supervisors and site managers    Comply with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements at all times    Use tools, equipment, and access systems safely, including scaffolding and ladders    Identify and report surface defects, structural issues, or material inconsistencies to supervisors   Maintain high standards of workmanship across all rendering and finishing tasks    Ensure construction sites are kept clean, safe, and organised during and after works                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Qualification & experience Qualification and Experience Certificate III in Solid Plastering, Plastering, or related trade qualification (or equivalent recognised qualification)   Minimum of 1 year full-time experience as a Renderer (Solid Plasterer) or similar role   Demonstrated experience in cement rendering and/or acrylic rendering systems   Ability to prepare, apply, and finish rendering materials to a high standard   Understanding of construction site procedures and WHS requirements   Skilled in the use of rendering tools such as trowels, floats, straight edges, and mixers   Physically fit and capable of working in outdoor construction environments   Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship   About Company Western Concrete is an Australian construction business specialising in concreting and surface finishing services for residential and commercial construction projects.
