Alfa Medical & Skin Clinic is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and professional team. We are looking for a reliable, organised, and patient-focused individual who has previous experience working in a medical practice environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy general practice, providing excellent patient service, and supporting doctors, nurses, and the wider practice team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality reception and administrative support, ensuring smooth daily operations and an excellent patient experience.

• Greeting and assisting patients in a professional and welcoming manner.

• Managing appointments, recalls, and patient enquiries.

• Answering incoming phone calls and handling patient requests efficiently.

• Processing Medicare, DVA, private billing, and EFTPOS payments.

• Managing referrals, incoming correspondence, and medical documents.

• Maintaining accurate patient information and confidentiality.

• Supporting doctors and nurses with administrative tasks.

• Using medical software systems efficiently.

• Following practice policies, privacy requirements, and accreditation standards.

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist in a general practice setting.

• Strong knowledge of Medicare billing and general practice workflows.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Professional presentation and a positive attitude.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Experience with Best Practice software.

• Experience with Healthengine, online bookings, recalls, and reminders.

• Knowledge of general practice accreditation requirements.

• Experience assisting with chronic disease management and preventive health administration.
