Experienced Dental Receptionist | Pathway to Practice Manager

$37–$41 per hour, depending on experience

Everything For Teeth is an established, highly rated West End dental practice caring for our community since 1995.

We're looking for an experienced Dental Receptionist who communicates confidently, takes initiative and enjoys taking ownership of their role.

Ideally, you'll have 2+ year of dental reception experience or 3+ years of broader dental experience. Experienced Dental Assistants ready to move into reception and take the next step in their dental career are also very welcome to apply.

This isn't a role where you'll simply turn up, answer phones and book appointments. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, genuinely cares about patients and wants to grow professionally, with a clear pathway towards Practice Manager.

You don't need to be the loudest or bubbliest person in the room. What matters is that you're an excellent communicator who can explain things clearly, stay calm and make patients feel genuinely looked after.

You'll ideally:

• Have 2+ year dental reception experience or 3+ years dental experience

• Have strong integrity and be someone we can trust

• Take initiative and ownership

• Be organised, reliable and detail-focused

• Be proactive with patient follow-up and appointment management

• Communicate warmly and professionally

• Stay calm with anxious, demanding or frustrated patients

• Work well independently and as part of a small team

• Be adaptable, open to feedback and always trying to be even better

• Take accountability for results and pride in doing things properly

Your responsibilities will include:

• Front desk reception and patient communication

• Appointment scheduling and diary management

• Proactively filling appointment gaps

• Following up treatment, recalls and patients due to return

• Discussing treatment, fees and payment options

• Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records

• Assist in steri duties

• Managing daily, weekly and monthly reception responsibilities

• Supporting the clinical team and building strong patient relationships

• Helping improve our systems and patient experience

For the right person, this role can become much more than reception.

After 12 months of consistently strong performance, you will be considered for progression into our Practice Manager role.

We'll agree on regular performance review intervals from the outset, covering your achievements, KPIs, development, responsibilities and remuneration.

Demonstrated performance will form the basis for pay rises and career progression.
