Join the PAH Pharmacy team as a Senior Clinical Pharmacist, delivering high-level surgical pharmacy services, supporting patient flow and advancing safe, evidence-based medication care.
About This Role
Your new role:
As a Senior Clinical Pharmacist within the Division of Surgery at Princess Alexandra Hospital, you'll deliver high-level clinical pharmacy services across surgical inpatient areas, helping improve medication safety, patient flow and continuity of care across a seven-day service.
In This Role, You Will
Deliver senior clinical pharmacy services including medication review, assessment, intervention and evaluation for surgical inpatients.Provide specialist weekend pharmacy services focused on medication admission histories, medication-related interventions, discharge planning and patient flow.Deliver CPMP within the Hepatobiliary and Acute Surgical Units during weekday shifts.Provide high-level clinical advice and act as a clinical reference point for pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams.Apply advanced clinical judgement and evidence-based practice when managing complex clinical pharmacy needs.
About You
We're looking for an experienced pharmacist who brings strong surgical clinical pharmacy expertise, sound clinical judgement and the ability to confidently manage complex workloads in a fast-paced inpatient environment. You'll be a collaborative clinical leader who can provide expert advice, support colleagues and contribute to the ongoing improvement of pharmacy services.
You Will Bring
High-level knowledge, expertise and skills in delivering surgical clinical pharmacy services in an inpatient setting.Strong clinical decision-making, prioritisation, time management and discharge planning skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide high-level clinical advice and manage challenging situations.Demonstrated ability to supervise, train and support less experienced practitioners and students.A proactive approach to quality improvement, research and evidence-based clinical practice.A commitment to safe, patient-centred medication management and positive clinical outcomes.

About Us
As a tertiary level hospital, the PAH Pharmacy Department delivers excellence in patient centred care, education, and research in most major adult specialties. Clinical Pharmacy Services are provided in a patient-centred model across inpatient and ambulatory settings in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. The department is equipped with advanced technology which enables robotic inventory control and dispensing. The department is staffed with pharmacist and clinical assistant staff who have a range of experience and who are well respected and regarded in the organisation. The department actively participates in practice-based research and medicine utilisation evaluation studies, quality improvement programs and activities across MSH.
